Crisis Nursery

The Story of MotherHouse

MotherHouse Crisis Nursery offers 24 hour, 365 day/night nursery services to children, ages newborn to six, for families in crisis in an effort to prevent child abuse and/or neglect.  Families in extremely stressful situations can bring their children to MotherHouse for "free" temporary nursery care.  Examples of crises may include violence, homelessness, addiction, hospitalization, NA/AA meetings, counseling, and stress.  MotherHouse provides meals, clothing, warm beds, and developmental activities for the children, at the same time offering parents counseling, medical assistance and referral services as needed.

If you would like to help MotherHouse Crisis Nursery, please contact the Nursery Program manager, Jeremy Brown, at 962-4858.  The nursery is always in need of volunteers and donations of diapers, baby wipes, toys, books, blankets and household cleaning supplies.
